Art Exhibitions at the Botanical Gardens

6 March -- 2 April 2009 *The Midland Painting Group.* With a wide
variety of media the Midland Painting Group are looking forward to their
first exhibition at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, although many of
the artists have exhibited here before.
3 April -- 30 April 2009 *Glandore* Stephen Morris was born in Solihull
and grew up in or around the Midlands. He now lives on the Scilly Isles.
Stephen is delighted that his first UK mainland exhibition is in his
home city of Birmingham which gives him the opportunity to show off the
isles.
1 May -- 28 May 2009 *Texture Plus* are a group of five textile artist
who come together on a regular basis to exhibit their work. Their pieces
reflect their interest in a wide variety of subjects and are interpreted
with a diverse use of techniques.
29 May -- 25 June 2009 *Charles Herbert Jones* An exhibition of work by
a local man who grew up in Birmingham and has endured the many changes
that have taken place in his lifetime. His daughter Mrs Matson-Smith is
putting this exhibition on in memory of her father.
26 June - 2 July 2009 *Oaks Collegiate *An exhibition of work done by
students. (will send more information about this exhibition once I have
spoken to Emma Thacker, Lordswood Boys School)
3 July -- 3 September 2009 *Open Summer Exhibition *An exhibition of
works by over 80 artists from around the Midlands and beyond covering
all mediums and subjects.
